Flash files (swf) can add fun and interactivity to your site but they can also add serious functionality to Office Live as well.

The swf file type can be created with various programs with varying degrees of success. Flash Pro CS3 is the primary development platform for Flash.

Flash Pro CS3 is an amazing program but requires a willingness to learn a lot to be successful with it. If you have the time and the money (it's not cheap) jump in.

Method
Example - This is an ad I created for ATV BAJA Tours.
1. Create or obtain a Flash document. I created the one above in Flash Professional 8. 2. Using "Document Gallery" in the Office Live "Page Manager" upload the flash document (the "name.swf" file). 3. Create a page or use an existing one. 4. Place the cursor in a web page "Zone" and click "Module" and select the "HTML" web part. (see below for illustration) 5. Now you need the code. Copy the code below.

6. Alter the the site location, name, and size to indicate the properties of your flash file. 7. Paste it into the "HTML - Webpage Dialog". 8. Click "OK" 9. Adjust the boundary box handles to align the flash file. 10. Enjoy!
